My project ‘We Play In Time’ will begin at The Weavers Factory in Uppermill, Saddleworth on Saturday June 1st. I’ve been working with the Dobcross Silver Band over the past 12 months, exploring why and how traditions endure as a community evolves away from the circumstances that inspired them. On the ground floor will be photographs of the surrounding towns, taken at dawn, and pictures from the Whit Friday band day in 2018. On the first floor there will be a photographic installation on acetate, pictures from other events the band has taken part in this year, and interviews with band members.
